Kills The Covid Virus In Less Than 2 Seconds

Can your HVAC system at home or in the office protect you from airborne viruses that cause diseases like Covid 19?

Air Care Cooling& Heating LLC is proud to be one of the first contractors to sell, install, and service these APCO UV lights. That’s why we are able to offer the best pricing in town. This product should be part of every indoor air quality program.

These lights are 99.99% effective in homes and in commercial facility applications. The comments from facility managers & lab consulting engineers have been nothing short of remarkable. The data is proven & the results speak for themselves. The applications for these lights are endless.

An excellent HVAC system works hard to keep the air you breathe safe and free of air contaminants. Your regular HVAC equipment, however, it is not enough.  Regular air purifiers and heating and cooling systems filter only 35 % of the air pollution indoor. The rest of the pollution stays in the air , putting your health at risk.

Fresh Aire UV APCO-X is a game-changer in HVAC airstream disinfection systems. It is the product of conscientious laboratory testing and research conducted by Innovative Bioanalysis, a CAP, CLIA, AABB certified laboratory in Costa Mesa, Calif.

APCO-X is a combination of Ever-Carbon cells and UVC light technology. It efficiently reduces indoor air pollution by purifying the air and sterilizing it to reduce contaminants like molds, bacteria, viruses, and toxic chemicals.  The result is safe air with zero ozone .

According to the Vice President of Business Development at Fresh Aire, Aaron Engel, Fresh Aire UV has been producing germicidal UVC light systems for 20 years and is confident about the effectiveness of APCO-X in killing more than 99.99 % of viruses, including SARS Cov 2, the virus that causes Covid 19 disease.

How APCO-X Works

Most heating and cooling equipment are only adept at removing particulates such as dust, dander, and allergens in the air. Harmful contaminants, such as Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from common household products and microorganisms, linger in the air, compromising air quality and putting you and your family at risk.

With Fresh Aire UV APCO-X, UV C light is used to get rid of the harmful air pollutants, especially viruses in the coronavirus inactivation.

Fresh Aire utilizes its proprietary Ever-Carbon cells in APCO. Ever-Carbon is a technology that is activated by UV light. Once activated, it catches and neutralizes toxic VOCs or chemical pollutants and converts them to harmless water vapor and carbon dioxide, which are then released into the air.

The same UV light traps mold, bacteria, and viruses in the air. It destroys the DNA of these air pollutants, preventing them from spreading an infectious disease like Covid 19.

Indoor Air Pollution

Indoor Air Pollution

If you think you are safe from air pollution at home, you’re sorely mistaken. The fact is, indoor air is up to five times more polluted than outdoor air. Most homeowners are not aware that a regular HVAC system or an ordinary air purifier does not filter out all these air pollutants. Even air duct cleaning is not 100% effective

Indoor air pollution is classified into three types. Two out of the three remain in the air or in surfaces unless effectively taken care of.

3 Types of Indoor Air Pollution

Particulates

Dust, dander, and allergens, make up 35% of the total air pollution inside the house or a building. HVAC filters are effective in removing these particulates. Accumulated particulates may clog a duct, a vent, or a blower, but the problem is easily fixed by a service technician or a quick DIY.

Biological

Biological contaminants make up 34% of indoor air pollution. Microorganisms like mold, bacteria, and viruses are all biological air pollution, including the SARS Cov 2 virus.

Chemical

VOCs are found in paints and other products commonly used at home. VOCs are toxic chemicals that have long-term effects like eyes, nose, and throat irritation; headaches and nausea; irreversible damages to organs like the kidneys, liver, and the nervous system.

Because regular HVAC systems cannot filter out harmful air contaminants and reduce them or eliminate them completely, the need for a better solution led to Fresh Aire UV light testing in airstream models.

What Are UV Lights?

UV lights are derived from ultraviolet (UV) rays, a form of electromagnetic radiation mainly from the sun. UV rays have a wavelength that ranges from 10 nanometers to 400 nanometers.

Types of UV Light

The light spectrum is divided into 3, depending on the energy involved. These layers of UV rays are invisible to the human eye.

UV A Light

UV A light has the least amount of energy. Prolonged exposure to UV A light can cause skin aging and skin damage.

UV B Light

UV B light has moderate amount of light. Sunlight has UV B light. Being out and under the sun exposes you to UV B light. Sunburn is the result of too much UV B light exposure.

UV C Light

UV C light barely touches the earth’s surface. However, there are man-made sources of UV C light that are used for many different activities. A good example of a man-made UV C light is a UV lamp, which is used to disinfect surfaces.

Is UV C Light Safe?

Is it safe to use UV C light in an air disinfection system?

UV C light has long been used to disinfect air, water, and any nonporous surface. A germicidal lamp or UV lamp uses lower UV C light energy to kill germs and other microorganisms. Direct exposure to UV C light may have adverse effects on the skin and the eyes, depending on the duration of the exposure and the energy in the UV C light. Study shows a lower-energy UV C light not safe.

When used in air ducts or as air purifiers to improve air quality, UV C light is proven safe. The UV C light device is placed inside the HVAC system so that there is no direct contact involved. However, HVAC contractors must take precautions and install the UV equipment correctly to avoid malfunctions.

APCO-X SARS Cov

APCO-X Testing Performance

A series of tests conducted by Innovative Bioanalysis showed the exposure time and the inactivation of SARS Cov 2 virus within the ventilation system. These inactivation tests showed the effectiveness of UVC light in the airstream model.

Different Fresh Aire UV products were tested, such as the duct-mounted disinfection system, Fresh Aire UV ADS airstream; HVAC coil and airborne disinfection, BlueTube XL; and HVAC coil and airborne disinfection with VOC/odor reduction, APCO-X.

The tests showed a 97% neutralization of SARS Cov 2 virus within .5 seconds of exposure to Fresh Aire’s UV C 254 nanometer light systems and more than 99.9% neutralization of the same SARS Cov 2 virus within 2 seconds.

Benefits of Using APCO-X

Fresh Aire’s most advanced whole-house UV disinfection system is the latest in the industry. It is safe to use in residential and commercial spaces. It effectively eliminates more than 99.99% of microorganisms in the air, including SARS Cov 2 virus, the virus responsible for the spread of Covid 19. When compared to the previous model, the product is 33% more effective in laboratory tests.

The disinfection equipment is the first air purifier recognized as sustainable for producing zero ozone. And thanks to its self-cleaning Ever Carbon cells with antimicrobial nanotechnology, the device is easy to maintain. Fresh Aire also provides customers with two UV C lights for additional HVAC coil disinfection.

Finally, peace of mind is the number one reason why homeowners and business owners must experience Fresh Aire’s UV equipment. With UV light, safe air is now available for everyone to breathe.

Installing an APCO-X in HVAC Systems

A trusted HVAC contractor should be able to give you information about UV C technology, its benefits, cost, and other important data. The effectiveness of such UV equipment also depends on its proper installation. Hence, your HVAC contractor must be an expert in the industry. The HVAC contractor must be able to properly install the unit and be available for service calls and maintenance routines.

Like all heating and cooling systems, taking care of UV equipment will extend its life and ensure its efficiency.
